Pakistan, England shared points 1-1 after Colombo match abandoned due to rain

Must Read

In the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, Pakistan and England shared one point each after their clash was abandoned due to rain at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, yesterday. It was a major setback for Pakistan as they are yet to win a single match in the tournament. After the rain interrupted the first innings, the match was reduced to 31 overs per side. England posted 133 for 9, and under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, Pakistan got a target of 113 runs.
The chase began steadily, with Pakistan reaching 34 for no loss in under seven overs before rain returned. Continuous downpour eventually led to the match being called off. In today’s fixture, Australia will take on Bangladesh at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The match will begin at 3 PM.
