The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday named Muhammad Rizwan as T20 teams vice-captain.
Announcing on X, the board said: @iMRizwanPakhas been appointed vice-captain of Pakistans T20I team.
He will replace Shadab Khan.
He will be the deputy of left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Afridi was named the skipper of the shortest format of the game after Babar Azams exit as the captain of the team in all three formats of the game.
Babar stepped down from Pakistan cricket teams top post after his sides poor display in the World Cup 2023.
