Over 6.6 Crore Enumeration Forms Collected in Bihar, 84% of Target Achieved: EC

The Election Commission has said that over six crore 60 lakh enumeration forms have been collected in Bihar so far under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) initiative which is 83.66 percent of the total enumeration forms.
       
The Poll body said, only 11.82 percent of electors now remain to submit their filled enumeration forms and many of them have sought time to submit their Enumeration Forms with documents in the coming days. The Election Commission said, 1.59 percent electors have been found deceased, 2.2 percent permanently shifted and 0.73 percent persons were found to be enrolled at more than one place. The Commission said it is ensuring that no eligible elector is left out and the remaining electors fill their enumeration forms. ECINet is also accelerating the process of updation of forms and documents resulting in the uploading of over 5.74 crore Enumeration Forms till now.
       
According to the Commission, over seven crore 89 lakh Enumeration Forms were printed.
