Over 19 lakh new enrollments in ESI in June this year

 
Over 19 lakh new workers have been enrolled under Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme in June this year, including 4.13 lakh female employees and 87 transgenders. In a statement, Ministry of Labour & Employment said that over 34 thousand new establishments have been brought under the social security ambit of the ESI Scheme in June, ensuring social security to more workers. The data reveals that 9.58 lakh employees, belonging to the age group of upto 25 years, have newly registered in June which is a growth of 12 thousand as compared to the previous month.
