Mumbai/IBNS: Mahindra recently opened bookings for the 5-door Thar Roxx, and within just the first hour, the SUV received an impressive 1,76,218 bookings in India, reports said.

According to reports, several dealerships across the country had already started accepting offline bookings for the off-roader prior to the official launch.

In terms of features, the Thar Roxx comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 10.25-inch digital drivers display.

It also includes automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon sound system, wireless phone charging, keyless entry, cruise control, and ventilated front seats.

For safety, the SUV offers six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors, and advanced Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom), covering both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive variants.

It directly competes with the Force Gurkha 5-door and serves as a larger alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, as per reports.
