Global crude oil prices extended declines today amid hopes that United States and Iran were nearing an initial peace deal. Brent crude was trading around 6.3 per cent down at 102 US dollars and 99 cents per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude was also trading over 7.4 per cent lower at 94 US dollars 72 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
