In the wake of threat messages to Mumbai Police from a Pakistani number threatening a 26/11-like attack in the city and recently, a boat carrying three AK-47 rifles and live cartridges was found in Raigad, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Saturday held a series of meetings here and reportedly discussed the state’s preparedness to face any eventuality.
Doval met Governor BS Koshyari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Director General of Police Rajnish Seth and reviewed security-related arrangements in Mumbai.
Doval also took darshan of Lord Ganesh at the residence of CM and Dy CM.
Assam: Three die in accident
Three members of a family were killed in a road accident in Assam’s Sootea.
The accident took place at Gereki on National Highway 15 in Biswanath district Friday when a four-wheeler in which the family was travelling collided with a truck.
The deceased were identified as Taufiq Rahman Ansari, Beauty Ansari and a child, Zoheb Rahman.
The woman was the sister-in-law of Taufiq and the child was his nephew.
They were travelling to Biswanath Chariali for the treatment of the nephew when the tragedy took place.
India registers 7,219 new COVID-19
India registered 7,219 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as the daily positivity rate touched 1.98 percent, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.
India’s Active caseload currently stands at 56,745
Active cases stand at 0.13 percent.
Recovery Rate currently at 98.68 percent.
9,651 people recovered from the disease during the same period.
