Patna/IBNS: Former political strategist and Jan Suraj Abhiyan president Prashant Kishor has lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for touching the feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the meeting of National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

In a rally during his ongoing mass outreach campaign in Bihar, Kishor said, He brought disrespect to Bihar. The leader of 13 crore people of Bihar is touching the feet (of Prime Minister Narendra Modi) in front of the whole nation!

People ask me why I oppose Nitish Kumar when I was the one who helped him to win in Bihar in 2014. I oppose him now due to this behaviour.

There is a huge difference between Nitish Kumar of 2014 and 2024. In 2014, Nitish Kumar didnt stoop to touch Modis feet. Now he is ready to do anything to remain the Chief Minister, the aspiring politician added.

Nitishs Janata Dal (United) emerged as the kingmaker in the Lok Sabha polls 2024 winning only 12 seats to help Modi form the government as his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to touch the majority mark.

The BJP, which had set 370 as its target, stopped at 240 seats, falling short of 32 from the majority mark.

Among various coalition partners, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidus Telugu Desam Party and JD (U) have the lions share with 16 and 12 seats respectively.

The Opposition alliance- titled INDIA- could win 234 seats.

Kishor, who shot to fame helping Modi to win the Gujarat assembly elections in 2012 and Lok Sabha polls in 2014, has worked with several top Indian politicians including Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kishor had assisted the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance in Bihar in 2015.

The Grand Alliance, which was formed by JD(U), Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress, had decimated Modis BJP in that years assembly polls.
