NITI Aayog participated in the panel discussion organised by the Institute of Economic Growth on Building Resilient State Finances for Viksit Bharat in New Delhi. In a social media post, the Aayog said that the event was marked by a keynote address delivered by Chief Economic Adviser to the Government, Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran. The event also included panel discussion featuring eminent speakers, including Member of Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister Dr Shamika Ravi, Advisor to the Comptroller and Auditor General and former Deputy CAG Mr Jayant Sinha and others. The Niti Aayog also said that the deliberations emphasised the need for institutional strengthening, adoption of data-driven policy frameworks, and enhanced Centre-State coordination to navigate emerging fiscal challenges. It added that the discussion underscored that robust state finances are critical to achieving inclusive and sustainable growth in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.
