The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala is set to host its 18th Convocation Ceremony today at 3 PM at the Swami Vivekananda Seminar Hall on the institute’s campus. The prestigious academic event will mark a significant milestone for hundreds of graduating students across various disciplines.

The Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address, inspiring young graduates as they step into professional and academic careers. The ceremony will be presided over by Binod Bawri, Chairman of the Board of Governors, NIT Agartala. Degrees will be formally conferred by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Patra, Director of NIT Agartala.

This year’s convocation will witness a large and diverse group of scholars receiving degrees. A total of 32 Ph.D. scholars will be awarded doctoral degrees, reflecting the institute’s growing emphasis on advanced research and innovation. In addition, 102 students will receive M.Tech degrees, while 24 MCA, 33 MBA, and 33 M.Sc students will also be honored.

At the undergraduate level, 870 B.Tech students will receive their degrees, along with graduates from specialized programs including 16 BS, 30 BT, 44 BSMS, and 7 BTMT courses. The convocation highlights NIT Agartala’s expanding academic footprint and its commitment to producing skilled professionals and researchers.
