The National Health Mission of Tripura is set to kick off a large-scale campaign starting May 3rd as part of its digital initiative to register individuals under the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), with a particular emphasis on rural areas across the state. The primary objective behind this initiative is to facilitate seamless access to health records and their digital sharing.

During a press conference held in [Location], Joint Mission Director Binay Bhushan Das announced that ABHA cards will be generated for registered individuals, serving as a centralized platform to consolidate all information pertaining to their health services and doctor details.

The ABHA card, intricately linked to both the Prime Minister’s and Chief Minister’s Jana Arogya Yojana schemes, will digitally manage details of medical treatments, store essential medical documents such as diagnostic test reports and medical prescriptions under a single account, enabling convenient access for future reference. Furthermore, it will empower doctors to access patients’ medical files, treatment history, and diagnostic reports efficiently through a unified platform.

The initiative has commenced in Agartala, with plans to roll out similar camps in other districts progressively, commencing from May 3rd. Training sessions will be conducted across all districts and subdivisions to facilitate registration.

NHM has set an ambitious target to cover 22 lakh individuals under the ABHA card. Presently, 1,55,2561 individuals have already registered themselves in ABHA. Das also clarified that individuals already registered under the CM-JAY health scheme will automatically be enrolled in ABHA. Moreover, those registered under the PM-JAY scheme but left out from the ABHA card will undergo processing shortly to ensure comprehensive coverage.
