The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to operate a special train between Agartala – Kolkata – Agartala via Deoghar for one trip in both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers, said a North East Frontier railway press statement.
According to the NFR official press release, the Agartala- Kolkata special train (05628) will depart from Agartala at 15:00 hours on August 6 (Saturday) and reach Kolkata at 08:50 hours on August 08 (Monday).
On the return journey, the Kolkata – Agartala special train (05627) will depart from Kolkata railway station at 06:00 hours on August 9 (Tuesday) and Agartala railway station at 03:00 hours on August 11 (Thursday).
The special train will consist of 16 coaches. There will be one AC 3-tier coach, six sleeper class coaches, seven general second class coaches and two luggage cum guard vans.
Meanwhile, in addition, to clear the extra rush of passengers, running of the special train between Dibrugarh – SMVT Bengaluru – Dibrugarh will continue for another13 trips each on both directions from 02nd August to 28th October, 2022.
To facilitate the movement of people of upper Assam towards southern part of India Special Train no. 02986/02987 (Dibrugarh – SMVT Bengaluru – Dibrugarh) will run as per its existing timings, stoppages and composition.
Moreover, train no. 05801/05802 New Bongaigaon – Guwahati – New Bongaigaon passenger special train which was earlier extended to run up to Jagiroad till 02nd August, 2022 has been further extended till 30th September, 2022.
The special train that will go via Deoghar is expected to attract attention of hundreds of devotees of Thakur Sri Sri Anukul Chandra.
