The state government provided free tap water connections to as many as 3,83,262 rural families under Atal Jaldhara Mission since 2019, according to Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.

The Chief Minister, in a Facebook post on Monday mentioned that only 24,502 rural families had tap water connections in 50 years before launch of the scheme.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that 50.42 per cent of the rural families were now receiving the benefit of the scheme.
