‘Mayer Gomon’ event to be held on Oct 7
For the first time in Tripura, the government is organizing“Mayer Gomon” event on October 7, 2022 on the occasion of Dashami of Durga Puja in Agartala. To make the immersion ceremony of Durga Puja idols more attractive, idols of different clubs will be taken towards Dashamighat through a colourful rally in the city that day. Information & Cultural Affairs department will be organizing the event. This was decided in preparatory committee meeting at conference hall of Directorate of Information & Cultural Affairs, Gandhighat yesterday. Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Secretary of the department P. K. Chakraborty, West Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Asim Saha and officials of different departments were present at the meeting. The responsibilities of each department were elaborately discussed for successful conduction of the event. It was also decided in the meeting that the clubs participating in the rally will be awarded in different categories.
JJM: Drinking water in 3,98,463 rural households
Drinking water connection has been provided to 3,98,463 households through pipelines in rural areas of the state under Jal Jeevan Mission. From September 1 till 11, drinking water connection has been provided to 1,532 households in rural areas of the state under the Mission. Among these households, 105 households in North Tripura district, 220 households in Unakoti district, 190 households in Dhalai district, 118 households in Khowai district, 306 households in West Tripura district, 232 households in Sepahijala district, 333 households in Gomati district and 28 households in South Tripura district have been provided with drinking water connection. This was informed by the Nodal Officer of Drinking Water & Sanitation department.
Assistance for flower cultivation
Assistance for flower cultivation has been provided to 146 farmers in Bishalgarh block under Chief Minister Pushpa Udyan Prakalp. As a result, 18 Ha land of the block will be brought under Marigold cultivation, 4 Ha land under Gladiolus cultivation, 4.4 Ha land under Tube Rose cultivation and 1.10 Ha land will be brought under Rose cultivation. 10 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be spent for this. It was informed by Horticulture & Soil Conservation department.
Rozgar Mela in Khowai
A Rozgar Mela was conducted as a part of Kushal Bharat-Sashakt Bharat program yesterday at District Industry Centre in Sonatola of Khowai district. Khowai District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma, Dibyodoy Krishi Vigyan Kendra official Dr. Manoj Singh Sachan, ITI College Principal Henry Rupini, District Industry Centre official George Hrangkhawl were present at the Mela. 102 young girls and boys of the district who have already attained training on different matters have participated in the Rozgar Mela.
Deep tube wells in West dist with NABARD help
Target has been taken to install 17 deep tube wells in West Tripura district to create water irrigation sources with the financial assistance of NABARD. 3 deep tube wells in Mohanpur block, 1 deep tube well in Bamutia block and deep tube well in Jirania block have been installed already. Apart from that, 5 deep tube wells in Belbari block, 3 deep tube wells in Mandwi block, 2 deep tube wells in Jirania block and 1 deep tube well each in Hezamara and Lefunga block are being installed at present. 140 Ha land of the district will be brought under water irrigation once these deep tube wells are started.
