Pran Gopal Datta, Member of Bangladesh Parliament felt that India may set up a border hospital at no-man’s land for the benefit of people living in Bangladesh and India. Datta was speaking in a seminar on ‘Sub-Regional Cooperation for Trade, Investment and Employment with Reference to Northeastern States of India’ organised by the Tripura University’s Department of Economics under the UGC-SAP-DRS II programme.
Datta while addressing in the plenary session on ‘India-Bangladesh Relation: Bangabandhu’s Contribution and Vision’ has said that the contribution of India for liberation of Bangladesh is not only the matter of gratitude but also an opportunity for Bangladesh.

The MP has assured all the necessary help from Bangladesh government if the Indian government decides to establish a border hospital.

While health is an important sector for development any such hospital will also play a great role in giving impetus to health tourism , Datta has felt.

He has opined that the Tripura government can play a key role and take an initiative for a border hospital.

MGNREGA: Dhalai records averages 78.77 days of work

The MGNREGA has generated an average of 78.77 mandays in Dhalai district in the current financial year, said officials. Raishyabari block of the district has averaged the longest days of work. An average of 95.88 days of work has been done in this block. Five lakhs 68 thousands 263 labour days have been generated in Raishyabari block.

Moreover, an average of 75.29 days in Ambassa block, 91.68 days in Chawmanu block, 90.86 days in Dumburnagar block, 63.34 days in Durga Chowmuhani block, 89.16 days in Ganganagar block, 71.44 days in Manu block and 77.32 days in Salema block work was done. A total of 67 lakh 63 thousand 673 mandays have been generated under MGNREGA in Dhalai district in the current financial year. This news was reported from the office of District Magistrate of Dhalai.
