New Zealand Defeat Bangladesh By 100 Runs At Barsapara Stadium

In the ICC Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup, New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 100 runs at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati last night to register their first win of the tournament.
 
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, New Zealand posted 227 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, with solid half-centuries from Brooke Halliday and skipper Sophie Devine.
 
In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for 127 in 39.5 overs, giving New Zealand a decisive victory. With the win, New Zealand moved to fifth place in the points table with one win and two losses in three matches played so far in the tournament. Bangladesh are placed in sixth position.
 
England will take on Sri Lanka in Colombo today. The match will start at 3 PM Indian Standard Time. England is at second place while Sri Lanka is in seventh place in the point table.
