DMK MP today staged a protest outside Parliament over National Education Policy and the three-language issue. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, DMK MP Kanimozhi demanded the centre release funds to Tamil Nadu for education. She also demanded an apology from Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his alleged objectionable statement in the Lok Sabha yesterday.
The MPs from Kerala (UDF) also held a protest outside Parliament in support of ASHA workers, demanding to raise their honorarium. Talking to reporters, Congress MP K C Venugopal said, Asha workers are working 24X7 in the health sector and they are the major contributors to the health sector.
