NCW seeks urgent action in Ghaziabad acid attack –

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance over a reported acid attack on a woman in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The commission has directed the Uttar Pradesh DGP to ensure a prompt, fair investigation and immediate arrest of the accused. The Commission also directed the authorities to submit a detailed action-taken report to the Commission within three days.
