Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, has arrived in Colombo for his four-day visit to the island nation. Admiral Tripathi will also attend the 12th Galle Dialogue 2025 in Colombo on Wednesday. Earlier today, he met the chiefs of Sri Lanka’s armed forces as well as the Defence Secretary.
He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya and senior government officials for discussions on defence cooperation, with a focus on maritime security, training, and capacity building.
The naval chief will also address the 12th Galle Dialogue 2025. The international maritime conference this year examines the “Maritime Outlook of the Indian Ocean under Changing Dynamics.”
The visit underlines efforts to strengthen defence ties and deepen strategic understanding, reflecting a shared commitment to peace and stability in the Indian Ocean.
