The Nation is paying homage to the great martyr of the Nation, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, today. A great revolutionary, he was just 19 years old when hanged to death by the British government on this day in the year 1915 for participating in the freedom struggle. His six other compatriots were also hanged along with him.
A member of the Ghadar Party, his martyrdom inspired many youngsters including Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh to participate in the Indian Freedom Struggle.
In Punjab, a state-level program at his native village Sarabha in Ludhiana has been organized to pay tributes to him and his compatriots.
