The 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Teg Bahadur, is being observed today. He was executed on the orders of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the year 1675. The day is widely known as the Shaheedi Divas. Guru Tegh Bahadur travelled across the country preaching Guru Nanak Dev’s teachings. He composed 116 shabads and 15 ragas, and his teachings have been included in the Adi Granth.
