Nana Patekar shot an intense action sequence for Vishal Bhardwaj’s O’Romeo despite battling a 102-degree fever. The film, inspired by true events, releases on February 13, 2026, showcasing unmatched dedication and cinematic grit.

Veteran actor Nana Patekar has once again proved why he is regarded as one of Indian cinema’s most dedicated performers. The acclaimed actor reportedly shot a demanding action sequence for his upcoming film ‘O’Romeo’ while suffering from a severe fever of 102 degrees Fahrenheit, refusing to halt production despite medical advice.

The film, directed by celebrated filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, features a high-octane action set piece filmed on an elaborately designed train set. According to Bhardwaj, the sequence required intense physical effort, making Nana Patekar’s determination all the more remarkable.

Recalling the incident, Bhardwaj revealed that the team was caught off guard when they learned about the actor’s health condition mid-shoot. “While we were shooting the action sequence on the train, I was informed that Nana Sir was unwell and had a 102-degree fever. We immediately called a doctor, who advised giving him an injection and clearly said that he should not continue shooting,” the director said.

However, Nana Patekar was unwilling to stop. Bhardwaj added that the actor insisted on completing the sequence, stating that he did not want the shoot to be canceled because of him. For nearly four hours, Patekar continued filming, pushing through discomfort and exhaustion to deliver his performance.

Crew members reportedly noticed the severity of his condition. His body temperature was so high that the heat could be felt by touch, and between shots, the actor lay down on the train set to conserve energy. Yet, each time the camera rolled, he rose with remarkable focus and intensity, performing as if unaffected by illness. Bhardwaj described the experience as witnessing the true commitment of a great artist.

‘O’Romeo’ is inspired by true events and is expected to offer a gripping cinematic experience, blending intense action with emotional depth and powerful performances. The film has already begun generating buzz for its scale, storytelling, and the collaboration between Nana Patekar and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Earlier, the makers unveiled the song ‘Ishq Ka Fever’, which quickly captured audience attention. Sung by superstar playback singer Arijit Singh, the soulful romantic track is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics penned by legendary poet Gulzar. The song features Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri and opens with a striking line delivered by Farida Jalal, setting the emotional tone before transitioning into an intimate and haunting melody.
