Nagaland joined the rest of the world and observed the 10th International Day of Yoga, IDY today. Various programmes were organised at various locations by the different state departments, NGOs and Assam Rifles. In Kohima, the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaboration with the National AYUSH Mission, and the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare organised a Yoga session at IG Stadium this morning.
Officials from the Youth Resources & Sports, students from IG Academy, Modern Higher Secondary School, Nehru Yuva Kendra, and NCC Girls Battalion performed common Yoga protocol. The session included asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.
