In an attempt to give a boost to the rural economy of the state, the NABARD, Tripura regional office on Friday conducted a State Credit Seminar 2022-23 at Agartala Pragna Bhawan.

State Cooperation minister Ramprasad Pal inaugurated the seminar in presence of the Cooperatives department special secretary Abhishek Chandra, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare department secretary Apurba Roy, director of Institutional finance Rakhi Biswas, General Manager of NABARD M R Gopal and other officials.

The minister unveiled the NABARD State Focus Paper 2022-23 and lauded the bank for its effort in bringing out a meaningful document in the form of State Focus Paper for integrated development of agriculture and rural development, through bank credit, in the state.

During the daylong seminar the General Manager of NABARD M R Gopal informed that the State Focus Paper 2022-23 has assessed a credit potential of Rs.9342.01 crore for 2022-23 for the State of Tripura.

The share of agriculture and allied sectors at Rs.4398.52 crore (constitutes 47.08% of the total projections) of which the Crop Loan projections at Rs.3147.12 crore constituted 34% of the total projections. The projections under MSME at Rs.3653.70 crore constitute 39.10% of the total projections.
