Mukhyamantri Sustho Shoishob Sustho Kaishore campaign will start from March 20 in Gomati and Unakoti districts. This campaign will continue till March 28. Speaking about the campaign through press conference at Udaipur Sub-Divisional Hospital yesterday, the Nodal Officer of Gomati district Dr. Sujoy Das said that this year is the fourth round of campaign. This campaign was successfully implemented in Gomati district along with the entire state, three times earlier. He also said that a total of nine issues will be worked on during the campaign. From hospital doctors, health workers to village Asha and Anganwadi workers, everyone will work together. School and college teachers will also participate in this campaign.
Formally this campaign will last for four days and the last four days will be community and house to house campaign. He said, apart from administering de-worming medicine, iron tablets to school and college students, tetanus and diphtheria vaccine will be given to children aged 10 and 16 years in Health Sub- Centres. Moreover, special initiatives have been taken to reduce anaemia among girls. He informed that preparations have already been made in Gomati district for the successful completion of this campaign.
This year Gomati district level programme will start on March 20 at Ghorakappa Primary Health Centre. CDPO Rina Chakraborty of Social Welfare and Social Education Department, Udaipur Sub-Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Joydeep Debbarma, Dr. Bhaskar Debnath and others were also present at the press conference.
Children and adolescents between 0 to 19 years of age will be given various medicines and preventive doses in this campaign. Nodal Officer of Mukhyamantri Sustho Shoishob Sustho Kaishore campaign Dr. Ayan Roy informed this in a press conference organized at the office of the Chief Medical Officer yesterday. He informed that from March 20 to 24 it will campaign in different schools of the district and from March 25 to 28 it will be distributed from house to house.
A target of bringing about 80 thousand children and adolescents under this campaign has been taken in the district. Dr. Sandipan Bhattacharya and OSD to District Education Officer’s office Karthik Debbarma were present at the press conference.
