As part of the India’s continued efforts under Operation Sindoor and in line with India’s principled and resolute stance against terrorism, seven all-party delegations comprising Members of Parliament are in different countries with their outreach programme. The delegations are conveying India’s strong message of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. The all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha visited Torana Gate in Kuala Lumpur. The delegation also interacted with members of the Malaysia-India Heritage Society (MIHS), representatives from leading Malaysian media houses, and social media influencers. The delegation briefed them about the purpose of their visit, their meetings with Malaysian interlocutors, and India’s firm commitment to zero tolerance against terrorism. It also paid floral tributes to the statue of Swami Vivekananda and visited the Panchavati Prayer Hall as well as the Nivedita House. Speaking to the media, Mr Jha said the President of Malaysia has strongly condemned Pahalgam terror attack. He added that as India is not part of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Pakistan continues to pass resolutions against India. Therefore, the delegation sought support on this issue from Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries they have visited.
After meeting people from the Indian community, NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, who is leading a delegation to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, said that people from every state met them. She added that people from the Indian diaspora wore sarees and kurtas, showing that although they live in Ethiopia, they have not forgotten their cultural roots.
The all-party delegation led by DMK MP K. Kanimozhi began its visit to Madrid by paying homage to the bust of Mahatma Gandhi. MP Kanimozhi addressed the community, emphasizing India’s strong democracy and unity, and sent a firm message that nothing is going to divide us anymore. The multi-party delegation led by BJP’s Baijayant Jay Panda met with Selma Bakhta Mansouri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria. During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Secretary of State about the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Operation Sindoor, and subsequent developments. The delegation appreciated Algeria’s shared commitment to strengthening the global fight against terrorism and its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Meanwhile, the high-level delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad to London was briefed by High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami on India-UK bilateral relations. Mr Doraiswami highlighted strong diaspora ties and shared challenges in countering terrorism. The all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde is currently in Liberia. During their three-day stay in Monrovia, the delegation will meet with the President of Liberia, Speaker of the House of Representatives (Lower House), President Pro-Tempore of the Senate (Upper House), Foreign Affairs Minister of Liberia, as well as leading think tanks and representatives of the media.
