Marking the 25-day countdown to the 11th International Day of Yoga, the ‘Yoga Mahotsav 2025’ was organised today in Puducherry. Union Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, inaugurated the event.
Delivering his inaugural address, Mr Prataprao Jadhav said that Yoga is an important need of the present and also an integral part of our healthy future.
He further added that Yoga transcends the boundaries of age, gender, and is a universal language of peace and harmony.
Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, Legislative Assembly Speaker R. Selvam, Public Works Minister L. Lakshminarayanan, MPs S. Selvaganapathy and V. Vaithilingam were present on the occasion.
Organised by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of Ayush, the event featured a mass demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol.
