On the first day of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 Player Auction, Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui became the first-ever player in PKL history to breach the 2-crore rupees mark for three consecutive seasons.
 
Moreover, last season’s standout raider Devank Dalal became the second most expensive player after Bengal Warriorz signed him with a massive bid of 2.2 crore rupees. Star raider Ashu Malik drew the next biggest bid of 1.9 crore rupees after Dabang Delhi KC used their Final Bid Match (FBM) card to retain him for two seasons. Raid Machine Arjun Deshwal was the third most expensive raider on Day 1 of the auction as he moved to Tamil Thalaivas for 1.405 crore rupees.
 

Among other players from Category B, raider Naveen Kumar was snapped up by Haryana Steelers for 1.20 crore rupees, UP Yoddhas signed raider Guman Singh for 1.073 crore rupees, while Nitin Kumar Dhankhar joined Jaipur Pink Panthers for 1.002 crore rupees.
 
Hi-Flyer Pawan Sehrawat was acquired by Tamil Thalaivas for 59.50 lakh rupees after a late bidding war. Fazel Atrachali, the most successful defender in Pro Kabaddi history, was sold from Category A to Dabang Delhi K.C. for 30 lakh rupees, while veteran raider Maninder Singh was snapped up by Patna Pirates for 20 lakh rupees. On the other hand, record-breaker Pardeep Narwal and Sahil Gulia were some of the top names who went unsold on the opening day of the Auction.
