Criticising the Opposition parties of India, an apparent reference to Congress, and the media, she said: Dishonest journalism will paint false narratives. Opposition voices will chant loudly without substance. But the truth, the truth will always set people free.
The singer also extended her support to Modi as his government faced a no-confidence motion in the Parliament this week.
Modi-led NDA government has defeated a no-confidence motion, brought by the Opposition, in a voice vote, following a three-day debate in the Parliament.
The vote was reportedly conducted shortly after opposition MPs, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, walked out of the chamber.
At the climax of the three-day debate, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha when he targeted the Opposition for walking out of the House.
