Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati reviewed the status of the Bairabi-Sairang New Line Project with officials of the Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) at Raj Bhawan in Aizawl on Friday. The distance between Bairabi – Sairang is about 51.38 Kms. Officials of the NFR presented updates on the railway construction project to the Governor.
The project after completion will bring goods and passenger services to the doorstep of the people of Mizoram.
Dr Kambhampati thanked the Central Government and Indian Railways for bringing and completing the crucial connectivity for the state of Mizoram. The revised cost of the project is 8213.72 crore rupees with 93% of the physical works being completed at this point.
