Bipasha Hrangkhawl, the first woman air traffic controller of Tripura is being felicitated by the Mizo women’s association called Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhâwm Pâwl (MHIP) during her holiday tour of Jampui Hill on January 23, 2023.
The association leadership had a face-to-face conversation with their special guest on various topics ranging from women empowerment, education and career, roles and responsibilities, and Zo ethnic unity as Bipasha Hrangkhawl belongs to one of various Zo tribes (Lushai/Mizo, Hrangkhawl, Kaipeng, Darlong, Molsom, Chorei, Bongcher, Ranglong, Rupini and others) currently living in Tripura.
It is Hrangkhawl’s first visit to the tourists’ paradise of Tripura, also known as “the seat of eternal spring.” Hrangkhawl is greatly impressed by the natural beauty of Jampui Hill, its cleanliness, the peace and tranquillity, the hospitality and friendly attitude of the Mizo people and their beautiful communitarian way of life.
The leadership of Jampui Hill Mizo Convention (MC) also greeted and welcomed Hrangkhawl and invited her along with her friends to visit again and participate in the upcoming Chapchar Kût festival to be held in the early part of March, 2023.
Bipasha Hrangkhawl hails from Rangamura – around 50 km away from Agartala – under the Khowai district in Tripura. After completing her school education in Tripura, Bipasa Hrangkhawl got her Bachelor in Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from a Maharastra-based College – Konkan Gyanpith College.
