In the SA 20 Cricket League, MI Cape Town stormed into the finals beating Paarl Royals by 39 runs in the first Qualifier at St George’s Park in Gqeberha last night. Batting first, Rashid Khan led the squad and scored 199 runs in the stipulated 20 overs with sensible innings from Dewald Brevis, Van der Dussen and Rickelton. In response to this, Paarl Royals got bundled out for just 160 runs. Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Corbin Bosch and Rashid Khan bagged two wickets each.
Today, Sunrisers Eastern Cape will face Joburg Super Kings in the crucial Eliminator match at the Super Sport Park in Centurion. The match will begin at 9 PM IST. The winner of this match will face Paarl Royals in the Second Qualifier match tomorrow.
