The newly appointed State Prabhari of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura, Dr. Rajdeep Ray, praised the massive developmental strides made in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government. Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Agartala, Dr. Ray underscored significant infrastructural and social advancements.
Dr. Ray, who arrived in Tripura from Silchar on Monday, participated in several party organizational activities and a rally on Tuesday, following his visit to the Tripurasundari temple. He emphasized the state’s remarkable transformation, particularly in infrastructure development and the implementation of central government flagship programs.
“Tripura has seen massive transformation, from infrastructural development to the effective implementation of the Central government’s flagship programs,” said Dr. Ray. He specifically mentioned the state’s performance in providing housing for poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the first cabinet meeting of his third tenure, promised an additional four crore houses. Tripura has been successful in connecting 83 percent of its families with drinking water under the Jal Jeevan Mission, and efforts are underway to reach more families soon.”
Dr. Ray also highlighted the state’s infrastructural advancements, noting that six national highways have been constructed under BJP governance, compared to just one prior to their rule. “In terms of rail connectivity, Prime Minister Modi has enabled the people of Tripura to connect with major cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai,” he added.
Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Dr. Ray commended the young and dynamic team of MLAs working with him. He expressed his gratitude to BJP national president J. P. Nadda for his appointment as state Prabhari and reiterated his commitment to strengthening the Tripura BJP organization.
As Dr. Ray focuses on bolstering the party’s presence and continuing the development trajectory, he reiterated the BJP’s commitment to ensuring prosperity and progress for all citizens of Tripura under Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
