Manipur wins ’30th Senior Women’s National Football Championship – Rajmata Jijabai Trophy’

In Football, Manipur won the 30th Senior Women’s National Football Championship – Rajmata Jijabai Trophy by defeating West Bengal 1-0 in the final match at the RKM Ashrama Ground in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, yesterday. With this win, Manipur successfully managed to defend its title and also won the trophy for the record 23rd time. In a tense and gripping title clash, Manipur’s Lynda Kom Serto scored the decisive goal in the 93rd minute and concluded the unbeaten run of northeastern giants with a winning note.
