Major Asian and European Markets End Mixed Sessions; Japan Observes Holiday

Major Asian markets settled mixed today. China’s Shanghai Composite Index added over 0.3 per cent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose almost 0.2 per cent. On the other side, Singapore’s Straits Times dipped 0.17 per cent while South Korea’s Kospi ended marginally down by 0.1 per cent. Market in Japan was closed for a holiday.Major European indices were trading mixed in intra-day trade. France’s CAC 40 fell over 0.3 per cent, Germany’s DAX was trading 0.2 per cent down, while London’s FTSE 100 added around 0.3 per cent, when reports last came in.
