Mythological animated drama Mahavatar Narsimha is set to release in Australia on July 31. After conquering Indian theaters, the film brings Lord Vishnu’s fourth avatar to global screens. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, it marks the beginning of an epic decade-long franchise by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions.

After a roaring success at the Indian box office, the mythological drama Mahavatar Narsimha is gearing up to captivate audiences overseas. The highly anticipated animated film is set to release in cinemas across Australia on July 31, as announced by the makers on Friday.

Produced by Hombale Films in collaboration with Kleem Productions, the film brings to life one of the most revered stories from Hindu mythology — the divine intervention of Lord Vishnu in his fourth avatar, Narsimha. The project has already garnered immense love from Indian audiences, both for its rich storytelling and high-end animation.

Taking to their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Hombale Films shared the exciting update, stating:

“The divine roar echoes across the world… and now, it reaches Australia. #MahavatarNarsimha is all set to ignite the screens across 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 from 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟑𝟏𝐬𝐭, releasing through @tolly_movies…Come and be part of this divine cinematic experience.”

The announcement has generated a wave of anticipation among the Indian diaspora and global audiences who are increasingly showing interest in India’s mythological storytelling, especially through technologically advanced animated formats.

A Cinematic Franchise Spanning Over a Decade

Mahavatar Narsimha marks the beginning of a grand and ambitious animated franchise planned by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions. This visionary franchise is set to chronicle the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu over a span of 12 years, offering audiences a first-of-its-kind mythological cinematic universe.

The release roadmap for the franchise includes:

  • Mahavatar Narsimha (2025)

  • Mahavatar Parshuram (2027)

  • Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029)

  • Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031)

  • Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033)

  • Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035)

  • Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037)

Each installment is expected to deliver not only powerful spiritual narratives but also visually stunning animation and immersive storytelling.

Directed with Devotion

Directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha is jointly produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions. The team’s goal has been to make mythology accessible to newer generations, combining traditional narratives with modern cinematic techniques.

The film retells the timeless tale of Prahlada, a young devotee of Lord Vishnu, and his tyrannical father Hiranyakashipu. Enraged by Prahlada’s unwavering devotion to Vishnu, Hiranyakashipu – who has been granted near-immortality by Lord Brahma – subjects him to severe torture in an attempt to break his faith.

When his cruelty reaches unimaginable limits, Lord Vishnu incarnates as Narsimha — a half-lion, half-man figure — and destroys the demon king in a dramatic climax that embodies the triumph of good over evil.

Preserving the Divine Experience

Amidst the film’s growing popularity, the makers have requested fans not to share any clips or scenes from the movie on social media. In a recent post, Hombale Films wrote:

“We truly appreciate your immense love and unparalleled excitement for #MahavatarNarsimha. We kindly request all fans to refrain from sharing video clips from the film online. Let’s preserve the divine experience for everyone to witness the magic on the big screen.”

The gesture reflects the creators’ intent to maintain the sanctity and cinematic surprise of the experience for audiences across the globe.

A Global Spiritual Journey Begins

As the release date approaches, fans in Australia are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Mahavatar Narsimha in theaters. The film promises not just a retelling of an ancient tale, but an immersive spiritual journey that blends reverence, animation, and storytelling mastery.
