Maharashtra’s Public Works Minister Shivendra Singh Bhosale has informed the state Legislative Assembly that the government has appointed a three-member committee to investigate the recent bridge collapse at Kundmala on the Indrayani River in Maval Taluka, Pune. He said that the government has taken serious note of the incident and strict action will be taken against those found responsible. Minister Bhosale revealed that the bridge had already been declared unsafe, with public warnings issued advising people not to use it. Despite this, a large number of tourists had gathered on the structure, resulting in the tragic collapse that claimed the lives of four individuals.
