Flight services at the Mumbai airport were also severely affected.  50 flights were cancelled or diverted due to low visibility.

Meanwhile, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai for tomorrow. The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has said that its disaster management control room is actively monitoring the situation.

With heavy rains lashing Ratnagiri, Raigad and Sindhudurg districts, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said 374 persons have been rescued from low-lying areas in Sindhudurg district and shifted to safer places.  In Ratnagiri, over 405 state transport buses remained cancelled today.
