In Macau Open Badminton, third seed pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly has advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Japanese duo Akari Sato and Maya Taguchi 15-21, 21-16, 21-14. The Indian duo will now face Taiwan’s Lin, Chih-Chun and Teng Chun-hsun in the pre-quater-final, tommorow.

In Women’s singles, Tanya Hemnath will face Ting Yu Liang of Taiwanin round of 32 while, Anupama Upadhyaya will face Riko Gunji of Japan. India will also witness an all-Indian clash as Tasnim Mir is set to face Devika Sihag in the afternoon while Isharani Baruah will play against China’s Wu, Lou Yu.

In Mixed doubles, N Sikki Reddy and B Sumeeth Reddy will spearhead India’s charge against Malaysian duo of Ho, Lo Ee Loo and Bing Kun, while Ruthvika Shivani Gadde and Rohan Kapoor will face Thailand’s duo of Ruttanapak Oupthong and Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat, this morning.
