In IPL Cricket, Hosts Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets at the Ekana Stadium last night. Chasing a target of 188 runs, Lucknow Super Giants overhauled the winning mark in 16.4 overs riding on Mitchell Marsh’s fabulous innings of 90 runs in just 38 balls. Marsh was also adjudged Player of the Match. Earlier, put in to bat, Chennai Super Kings scored 187 for 5 in stipulated 20 overs.
Young sensation Kartik Sharma scored highest 71 runs. For Lucknow Super Giants, Akash Maharaj Singh bagged 3 wickets. The Lucknow Super Giants, even after this win, are sitting at the bottom of the points table and are already eliminated from the Play-off race. Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand are at sixth spot and looking to enter top four. In today’s fixture, hosts Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Gujarat Titans at the iconic Eden Gardens this evening. The match is scheduled to begin at 07:30 PM.
