In Boxing, Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain won the women’s 75kg category, while Nikhat Zareen claimed the 52kg title at the National Boxing Championships 2026 in Noida on Saturday. After defeating Imroz Khan in the semi-finals, Lovlina Borgohain produced another dominant display to win the 55kg final 5-0 against Sanamacha Chanu Thokchom at Gautam Buddha University. Two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen won the 52kg women’s category after a convincing 5-0 win over Nitu Ghanghas, who is also a former world champion in the 48kg weight class. World champion Minakshi Hooda secured the women’s 48kg title with a convincing 5-0 win over Manju Rani, while Olympian Pooja Rani beat Naina in the women’s 80kg final by the same scoreline. In the men’s draw, Jadumani Singh displayed a mix of aggression and technical superiority to win the 55kg title after brushing aside Pawan Bartwal 5-0 in the final.
