Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 12 noon amid sloganeering by the opposition members over various issues. When the Lok Sabha met at 11 AM, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla took up Question Hour, and the opposition members started sloganeering, demanding a rollback of the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar and other issues. Mr. Birla appealed to the opposition to allow Question Hour, saying that it is an important business and the opposition must participate in it. Amid the noisy scene, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat replied to a question related to the Swachhata green leaf rating initiative. The Opposition members continued their protest, due to which the Speaker adjourned the House till 12 noon.
The Rajya Sabha was also adjourned till 12 noon following opposition uproar. When the House met at 11 AM, two AIADMK MPs M Dhanapal and I S Inbadurai took oath. Deputy Chairman Harivansh said that he has received 26 adjournment notices from different political parties relating to various issues, but the notices were rejected, citing the ruling.
