The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day after the presentation of the Union Budget. Earlier in the morning, when the House met and the Finance Minister began to present the budget, some opposition MPs, including from Congress, the Samajwadi Party, and DMK, staged a brief walkout. They were protesting over the Maha Kumbh incident.
The Rajya Sabha has also been adjourned for the day. The Upper House met this afternoon after the presentation of the budget in the Lok Sabha, and the copy of the budget was tabled in the Rajya Sabha, and later it was also adjourned for the day. The two Houses will now meet on Monday.
