Residents of Maiganga Ward No-6 in the Krishnapur constituency are demanding immediate action to repair a 33-year-old road that has been neglected for decades. Despite numerous appeals to local representatives, including MLA and Minister of Tribal Welfare Bikash Debbarma, no action has been taken, according to the locals.
Approximately 30 to 35 families living along the deteriorated road face daily hardships, as the road is unsuitable for vehicles and difficult to traverse on foot. Local leaders and authorities stated that the repair work had been assigned to the Public Works Department (PWD), but no timeline has been provided, causing further frustration among the residents.
The locals are now seeking the intervention of the Teliamura Block Development Officer (BDO) to expedite the repair work.
