Lionel Messi’s GOAT India tour in Hyderabad concluded smoothly last night. The Hyderabad crowd witnessed the timeless trio of Messi, de Paul and Suarez at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.
The Argentine Football legend, along with two more star players, Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez, mesmerised the crowd at a nearly-packed Stadium as he showed off some of the skills that made him one of the greatest ever to play football.
Messi and his teammates took part in a GOAT Cup penalty shootout, with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also turned up in football attire, and conducted football clinics with children before leaving the stadium.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined the visiting players and the Chief Minister at the felicitation towards the end of the event. Messi presented the GOAT Cup to the winning team of a 7-a-side exhibition match.
Later, Messi showed his perfect control of the ball to the great delight of the crowd, juggling the ball with his feet as he kicked the ball around with his teammates.
