Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj & Chirag advance to pre-quarterfinals

In the Denmark Open Badminton Tournament, star Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen and top men’s doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty advanced to the pre-quarterfinals in Odense yesterday. World No. 21 Lakshya Sen defeated Ireland’s Nhat Nguyen 10-21, 21-8, 21-18. Sen will now face Anders Antonsen of Denmark in the Round of 16 today. In the men’s doubles, sixth seeds Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Christopher Grimley and Matthew Grimley of Scotland. The Indian duo will next face Yang Po-han and Liu Kuang-Heng of Chinese Taipei in the pre-quarterfinals today.
