In Badminton, India’s Lakshya Sen has stormed into the Men’s Singles semifinal of the Australian Open. Lakshya defeated his compatriot Ayush Shetty 23-21, 21-11 in the quarterfinal in Sydney yesterday. He will take on the Taiwanese player Chou Tien-chen for a place in the final today.
Meanwhile, the Men’s double pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty was knocked out of the tournament after losing to the Indonesian pair of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri 19-21, 15-21 in the quarterfinal.
