In Ladakh, the Department of Information and Public Relations organised a day-long Himalayan Writers Conclave at Leh today.
The objective of the event was to provide a common platform for all the writers and scholars from the Himalayan states.
The Biography of Geshe Ishey Thabkas written by Dr Jamyang Gyaltsan was launched on the occasion.
CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Tashi Gyalson highlighted the need to revive the reading culture in society and suggested engaging youth in such a Conclave to familiarise them with authors and writers from Ladakh.
