Sumit Pal, a resilient individual hailing from the Sonatala area of Khowai District, has emerged victorious in the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, displaying indomitable willpower and an unwavering spirit. His incredible journey serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication, making him a true inspiration for the younger generation.
Sumit’s educational voyage commenced in a Government School, where he received his primary education. Despite limited resources and challenging circumstances, Sumit successfully cleared the entrance examination of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, a remarkable feat accomplished without any coaching assistance.
Understanding the financial constraints associated with preparing for the highly competitive UPSC examination, Sumit made a pragmatic decision to join an IT firm. Balancing his professional commitments and aspirational dreams, he continued to pursue his goal of cracking the UPSC examination.
Though faced with disappointment in his initial attempts, Sumit refused to be disheartened. His unwavering resolve and commitment to success propelled him forward, and he overcame all hurdles that came his way. Finally, in the latest UPSC examination, Sumit achieved the desired results, attesting to his exceptional willpower and resilience.
Former Chief Minister and presently Rajya Sabha member Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday felicitated Sumit. In his social media platform Deb said ‘his journey is not only a personal triumph but also a source of pride for the entire state’.
