Hosts, Indian Men’s team continued their impressive form with a strong 71-32 victory over Bhutan at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi yesterday. The win ensured their place at the top of Group A and confirmed their spot in the quarterfinals. India started strong in the first turn, showcasing their attacking skills and scoring 32 points. In the second turn, the team demonstrated excellent defensive tactics, effectively stopping Bhutan’s attacks. In the third turn, India returned to attack mode, while Bhutan struggled in their final attacking attempt. With a 39-point victory margin, India showed their dominance and extended their unbeaten run in the tournament. Having also triumphed over Nepal earlier, the team looks well-prepared for the knockout stages.

India men’s team coach, Ashwini Kumar Sharma said that the team will explore different opportunities in the quarterfinals to ensure continued success.

Earlier, the Indian Women’s team maintained their winning streak with an incredible 100-20 win over Malaysia. From the start, they put intense pressure on the Malaysian team and carried this momentum throughout the match. By halftime, India led comfortably with a score of 44-6. In the third turn, the Indian players delivered back-to-back dream runs, showing great energy, teamwork, and coordination. They carried their strong performance into the final turn, achieving a massive win. This victory secured India’s position at the quarterfinals.

Speaking after the game, India women’s team coach, Sumit Bhatia, expressed his confidence. He said that the team is performing well in the tournament, and is focused on winning the quarterfinals.
